What we cover

If we shipped it back to you and it stops working in the next 24 months, we put it right:

The whole EMM

No itemised list, no fine print on which board or component — if the unit stops working, we cover it.
Return shipping

DHL Express back to you after a successful warranty claim, anywhere we ship.

What we don't cover

The warranty is generous, but not unlimited. It does not apply to:

External damage

Water ingress, lightning strike or impact after the unit left our workshop.
Tampering

Anyone other than Hardware Care opening or modifying the EMM. A broken repair sticker voids the warranty.
Installation faults

Wiring mistakes or voltage spikes from the boat's electrical system after the EMM was reinstalled.

Three steps to a warranty claim

If your EMM develops a fault within 24 months of our repair, get in touch before doing anything else.

Email us

Send your part number, the original repair date and a description of the symptoms (fault codes, when it happens) to info@hardwarecare.nl.

Diagnose and ship

We help diagnose remotely where possible. If the EMM needs to come back, we arrange DHL Express collection from your door.

We repair and return

We inspect, confirm the cause, and — if it falls within the warranty — repair it and ship it back at no charge.

Why 24 months

Twice as long as the factory warranty.

A brand-new Evinrude EMM ships with 12 months of factory cover. We give you 24. After 8+ years and a thousand-plus EMMs, we know what we're doing and we don't ship a unit unless it has been tested under load. The longer warranty is how we put our money where our mouth is.

Before you send anything in

Does the warranty cover the whole EMM?

Yes. If a unit we shipped back to you stops working within 24 months, we cover it — without picking apart which board or component is at fault. The only exclusions are external damage, tampering and installation faults.

What if I bought a used boat with your repair sticker on the EMM?

Send us the part number and the original repair date if you have it. The warranty stays with the EMM, not the owner, as long as the repair sticker is intact.
